What is social media without engagement?

Have you ever reached out to a business, or left a comment on their social media and then never received a response back?

I have, and due to the lack of engagement - I don’t become a converted client.

Something that would take a 30-second response to convert me from a lead to a paying customer, instead sent me searching for the competition.

Before you can master social media engagement, it’s important to understand what it is. Social media engagement is a measure of how people interact with your social media accounts and consume content.

Engagement is determined by both passive and active actions.

Passive engagement requires minimal effort on your part. It’s clicks/impressions, likes, or views of videos/reels. Active action is when your customer leaves a comment, shares/retweets, mentions, or saves a post. Active actions rank higher for your engagement and add value to the content.

Quality Engagement = Increased Visibility

Engaging with your customers in a meaningful way is more important than ever before. Posts with more active and thoughtful interactions will get more reach. This helps customers understand that there are real people fueling the business. This human connection will help you reach more potential customers.

It’s not just about how many likes and followers you have.

78% of consumers say they are willing to buy something from a company after having a positive interaction with them on social media.

Most people use social media as a way to connect with other people and businesses. It’s a constant flow of conversations. It allows you to build trust with your prospects and customers. They rely on you to respond quickly.

Engaging with your customers is essential to your company's growth.

Building a genuine connection, increasing brand awareness and fostering brand loyalty takes time! It won’t happen overnight, but it’s important to invest realistic effort, stay consistent, and be patient while establishing a dedicated audience.
